Grace Prince

Grace Prince b. London, studio in Zürich

Prince studied at Central Saint Martins, London. Since 2020, she has maintained a design practice that concentrates on the subtle compositions between materials, surfaces, and alignment. Whilst fully preserving the condition of function, she researches a specific mode of beauty that studies the poetics within fragility and absence. Supporting artisanal craft is central to her practice; in this way, each element is formed by her hand or in close collaboration with an atelier.

She has exhibited internationally; this year in New York, she will present her sixth solo show. Prince has undertaken design residencies at Numeroventi in Florence and Perspective in Kyoto, Japan. She was interviewed for the latest issue of Beyond Noise and included in W Magazine’s list of the must-see art shows and exhibitions of 2025.

For four years, parallel to her practice, Prince worked as a material researcher for the design studio Material Gesture at the chair of Professor Anne Holtrop, Department of Architecture, ETH Zürich.
